While everyone present wanted to share their appreciation of Watsuki's work, the mangaka could not help but let everyone know where he took his inspiration.
Obata-san's clean detailed art was the reason why Watsuki not only became a mangaka, but because of Obata's association with Shueisha Watsuki decided he had to follow suit and join what was the highest selling anthology in Japan - Shonen Jump.
Watsuki announced he will continue to work on a series of shorts about an embalmer.

Nobuhiro Watsuki (和月伸宏 Watsuki Nobuhiro; born May 26, 1970) is a manga-ka, best known for his samurai-themed series Rurouni Kenshin.
Nobuhiro Watsuki was born in Niigata prefecture, Japan.
Watsuki's portrayal of the Kyoto militant group, the Shinsengumi, is also very close to historical records of them.

I also am rather annoyed with Watsuki for his /excessive/ self-deprecation in his columns.
There were also a few panels with weird angels, sometimes prompting one to turn the book to try to get a proper perspective, which was kind of irksome.
I guess Watsuki was trying something new, which was mostly successful.

Ironically, taht manga ended after 3 volumes, around the 30 episodes that Watsuki thought that kenshin would be canceled.

Das tut auch Nobuhiro, allerdings war das nicht immer so.
Eine andere ist, dass er immerwieder äußerliche Merkmale von den Superhelden seiner Lieblingscomics in seine Werke einbaut.
