Recently Wauwatosa East High School student Samantha Rise Roberson, 17, was at the Wauwatosa library checking out a book and she just about dropped it when the librarian paused to say, "Oh, you’re that girl who won that contest." Surprised, she smiled and said, "Yes."
I want to go to school to major in musical theater with jazz studies," she says, adding that she’d like to audition for schools on the East Coast or maybe in London.
She also plays trombone in Wauwatosa East High School’s marching band and will be singing "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles at an upcoming performance.

New Deal-era murals that once graced Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., and were walled over, probably during remodeling in the 1970s, are being rediscovered.
An archaeological expedition of sorts at Wauwatosa East High School has uncovered a lovely cache of New Deal-era murals that were remodeled into obscurity three decades ago.
Rajer, whose mother-in-law went to Tosa East and remembers the murals, is developing a master plan that envisions using community volunteers and high schoolers to help restore the artwork in 2004 and use the experience as a teaching tool.

One of the seven stadiums allegedly targeted was Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Christie said Brahm admitted that between September and Wednesday he had posted the same threat about 40 times on various Web sites.
Brahm was first taken into custody by police in Wauwatosa on Wednesday based on information authorities received that he was the source of the Internet threat, federal authorities said.
