Way of the Dragon was something a disappointment.
The basic storyline is good but it is conducted in such a way that it has the feel of an episode of a programme on television, rather than a film.
Way of the Dragon is an average film and is not really a staple of the genre when compared with the other wonderful martial arts movies that are available.

In some ways, the pinching grip is slightly more difficult that the other types of grip to gain strength in, but it can most certainly be done.
Incidentally, a good way to see the differences between the grips and to analyse the subtle differences in mechanics is as follows: Grab hold of your left wrist with your right hand (or vice versa).
There are many ways to increase your grip strength, and once you have understood the differences in grips I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with plenty yourself, but we’re going to look at some methods now and see how they can be used.

Dragon is filled with cheesy acting, has a poorly-written script, and isn't very well told...
In Return of the Dragon, we get to witness the typical Lee with double nunchuks vs. a whole gang of guys action sequence, as well as the always watchable one on one fight scenes where Lee shows the audience how fast and furious (2 fast....haha, sorry) he really is.
The highlight of the film occurs at the end when Lee is forced to do battle with his real-life friend and protege Bob Wall (in which he quietly defeats him by giving him a quick punch in the nuts), and the soon to be famous Chuck Norris.

The Way of the Dragon sees Bruce Lee writing, directing and starring in what many consider to be his best film.
Critics have described The Way of the Dragon as being a little rough around the edges, but all in all an excellent effort for a directional debut.
However, The Way of the Dragon certainly has at least one element that remains virtually unrivalled to this day - the fight scene against Chuck Norris.

Along the way, Lee meets conman extraordinaire Roper (John Saxon) and funk soul brother Williams (Jim Kelly), but as with all the Bond movies, our protagonist must uncover and thwart the arch-villain's devious plot all by his lonesome before finally calling for reinforcements.
From Lee's refusal to wear a uniform to his clever "art of fighting without fighting," Enter the Dragon showcases tenets of Lee's martial arts outlook in a more pronounced way than his previous effort, Way of the Dragon, did.
Of all the Dragon's movies, this one is by far the most appealing.

 The Way of the Dragon
But in Lee's hands The Way of the Dragon (sometimes known as The Return of the Dragon because it was released in the U.S. after the success of Enter the Dragon, even though it was made before it) is a sad, laughable affair that makes you feel sorry for him, though perhaps a bit indulgent.
The opening scenes of Lee finding himself unable to cope with the customs and rituals of Italian society are funny in the way the Three Stooges are funny; they appeal to the basest instincts to laugh at other people.
Yet within its own frames of reference, The Way of the Dragon works well enough to keep going, and boasts some great fight scenes, distracting and all as the plot is in between.

Conventional wisdom would suggest that when comparing martial artists, Bruce Lee stands supreme as the intense, indestructible killing machine, whereas Jackie Chan is the reverse: a happy-go-lucky everyman who just happens to know kung fu.
Oh sure, Bruce kicks the living bejeezus out of everyone who gets in his way, but to be honest, his character is only a step away from the prototypical Jackie Chan character.
In Way of the Dragon, Bruce stars as Tang Lung, the Hong Kong equivalent of a backwater hick, who is plopped down in the middle of bustling Italy.

While this may or may not be true, Lee's own belief's concluded that high kicks were not practical in a street fight because it took too long to connect and left the attacker vulnerable, something which Sammo Hung once proved to great effect in a training routine with Yuen Biao in The Prodigal Son.
Its worth noting that in Way of the Dragon, Lee replicated on screen the move that wowed casting agents for the television series, "The Green Hornet." Lee leaps up in an amazing show of dexterity and power to kick out a light bulb from a socket hanging directly above him.
Purely as a story, Way of the Dragon is a very sophomoric effort that lacks depth.

GreenCine | product main - Return of the Dragon (Way of the Dragon) (1973)
Bruce Lee's pre-Enter the Dragon outing is a surprising change of pace from his usual hard-hitting action fare because it favors humor as much as it does kung-fu.
However, the real flaw with Return of the Dragon lies in its ending, which features a last-minute twist that doesn't work because it is too unexpectedly tragic for a film that had previously been so lighthearted.
Despite this misstep, it remains a likeable blend of kung-fu and comedy that is likely to bring a smile to the face of Bruce Lee fans.

When the Legend of the Dragon TV series hits airwaves in spring of 2006, it will be closely followed by its own licensed beat-'em-up adventure games on the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation 2, courtesy of The Game Factory.
Created by Rick Ungar, (X-Men: Evolution, Spider-Man), Legend of the Dragon follows the twins Ang and Ling and their relationship when one is chosen to be "the Golden Dragon," a defender of good, and the other falls in with the evil Zodiac Master.
Legend of the Dragon seems to be a convergence point for The Game Factory, as it has previous experience with both animation and combat.
