The highest elevation in the county, 2,656 feet (809.5 m), is the summit of Mount Ararat in Preston Township, near Orson.
In the county, the population was spread out with 24.00% under the age of 18, 6.10% from 18 to 24, 26.80% from 25 to 44, 25.60% from 45 to 64, and 17.50% who were 65 years of age or older.
