Wayne Knight (born August 7, 1955 in Cartersville, Georgia) is an American actor, best known for his roles as Newman in the TV sitcom Seinfeld and as police officer Don Orville in the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun.
Knight was cast as the bumbling InGen Corporation's chief programmer for the park and spy for Biosyn Dennis Nedry.
Knight was told by his doctor that he was reaching morbid obesity, so he started a diet and exercise program on which he lost 117 pounds.
