Wayne Lessard served as a Member of Provincial Parliament in Windsor-Walkerville between 1990 and 1995.
Wayne Lessard's legal experience includes being an Assistant Crown Attorney and legal counsel for the Corporation of the City of Windsor.
Wayne Lessard currently sits on the Board of Directors of one of Windsor's largest financial institutions, Motor City Community Credit Union and the Aids Committee of Windsor.

The redistribution was very good to New Democrat Wayne Lessard, gaining some very good NDP polling districts, and few bad ones, and has a very ell-organized campaign team.
Wayne Lessard has not been much of an MPP while Duncan has really worked hard to serve the community over the last four years.
The race between Lessard -- helped by CAW support that was lacking in 1995 -- and Duncan -- limping from an unsuccessful try for the Liberal leadership in 1997 -- is the one to watch, according to Comartin and Krause.

Rumour has it that the NDP have been turned down by several high profile potential candidates and are being forced to re-nominate Wayne Lessard.
Lastly, there are some major other issues that the Liberals have faltered on, which will not go over well with voters, namely their refusal to raise the minimum wage immeadiately (they want to do this over four years) and their refusal to implement a rent freeze for tenants.

 Dwight Duncan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Duncan was first elected to the Ontario legislature in the 1995 provincial election, defeating New Democratic Party incumbent Wayne Lessard by 380 votes in Windsor—Walkerville.
Duncan was again successful, defeating Lessard by over 4,000 votes.
The Progressive Conservatives won a second majority government, and Duncan became opposition House Leader on June 25, 1999.

Mr Wayne Lessard (Windsor-Riverside): I rise and speak in support of this resolution because I know that for many in our communities, the Ontarians with Disabilities Act has been too long in coming.
It was Mike Harris during the 1995 election who promised to bring in this legislation and, as a result of the lack of action, it was my NDP colleague Marion Boyd who introduced a resolution into this Legislature in May 1996.
For example, $1 billion a year for special education through the Ministry of Education's funding to school boards for programs for exceptional children, such as children with disabilities and gifted children, and up to $25 million over the next five years for neurotrauma research, prevention and rehabilitation projects.
