Detroit, Mich. — Wayne State senior Kelly Kashmerick (Flushing) and sophomore Beth Berry (Blissfield) were both honored by being named softball All-Americans, which was announced on Thursday, May 16.
Earlier in the year, Berry went 7 for 8 with two home runs and 10 RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Lake Superior State (April 26), which earned her GLIAC Player of the Week honors.
Wayne State, who finished with a 31-19 record, won the GLIAC regular season championship and made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1996.
