Wayne Township is a township in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States.
In the township the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 33.4% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the township was $48,971, and the median income for a family was $50,917.

The township is the basic political unit in the county and may have within its boundaries incorporated towns, boroughs, and cities, although these would have their own local governments.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is comprised of sixty-seven counties and here are found records of land, estates, vital records, divorces, naturalizations, court records, and so forth.
The first county archives was established in Chester County in 1982 and is considered the model for the Commonwealth.

He visited this county in 1852, and again in 1855, a year later, in 1856, settled in Valley township, where he was engaged in farming for several years, until his retirement in 1876, when he came to Wyoming, and four years later joined Sylvester F. Otman in their present extensive business.
King moved to Hardin county, Ohio, where he farmed until 1854, when he moved to Wyoming with his family, purchased land in Valley township, which he sold and bought a farm on section 30, Penn township, in 1860, and was an active agriculturalist and grower of fine stock there until his retirement in March, 1879.
Allen Pierson Miller, born in Crawford county, Ohio, September 16, 1849, is a son of the Rev. Allen Cowen Miller, one of the pioneer preachers of northwestern Ohio, and one of the old settlers of Crawford county.

Pennsylvania has agreed with other states in the Chesapeake Bay watershed to reduce the levels of nitrogen and phosphorus entering the Susquehanna River (which is the largest tributary to the Chesapeake Bay) by 40 percent by the year 2000.
Until recently, under state water quality laws, Pennsylvania had consistently exempted manure storage facilities and land application of manure from any permitting requirements so long as the operations were in accordance with the antiquated and inadequate state manure management manual.
So far, Codorus Township in York County has ordinances in place, and Wayne Township in Mifflin County and Swatara Township in Lebanon County are in the process of drawing up their ordinances.

Passed by Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania by a 3-0 vote in 1998, this ordinance is primarily a "three strikes and you're out" ordinance.
In essence, the Ordinance prevents any corporation from doing business in the Township if it has a "history of consistent violations." This term was defined by the Wayne Township Supervisors as requiring three "violations" over the past fifteen years.
In addition, it is the purpose of this Ordinance to ensure that the liberty of Township residents is not infringed by artificial corporate entities that cause harm or that threaten to cause harm.

It is bounded on the north by Salem Township, on the east by Pitt and Crane Townships, on the south by Marseilles, and on the west by Jackson.
The Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad crosses Mifflin in a west by South direction, penetrating from Salem Township at the extreme northeast corner of Section 4, which it passes through, also Sections 5 and 6, thence through Kirby Village, in the northeast corner of the township, where there is a station.
