		On the other hand, in the Weasels Ripped My Flesh booklet you can read that "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask" and "The Orange County Lumber Track" were recorded at the Festival Hall in London, the same location as all of Ahead of Their Time.
		The Weasels Ripped My Flesh version has a cut-end in the middle of Zappa's guitar solo, while the Ahead of Their Time version goes ahead until 10:40 fading in a "King Kong" reprise.
		More complex is the case of the Weasels Ripped My Flesh track "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask" (03:48) which is a collage of different materials.

		"Weasels" is a grand example of the latter.
		A consummate example of this is the group's version of Little Richard's "Directly From My Heart To You." The song is rendered against a hard-edged blues back-up that manages to integrate into its midst a swinging Forties-style jazz violin.
		Together with some relatively straightforward instrumentals and "My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama," the album's two finest strokes -- a metal remake of Little Richard's "Directly from My Heart to You" and "Oh No," a devastating reply to "All You Need Is Love" -- would make for a highly enjoyable film.

		If Burnt Weeny Sandwich was the first warning shot from Frank Zappa that he had full artistic control of his music, then Weasels Ripped My Flesh, his second album to be released with the Mothers Of Invention in 1970, was the full-scale war.
		Interestingly enough, my take on it ranges from almost unlistenable to halfway decent, depending on my mood at the time.

		The rest of the material of the song (in my opinion from three to five different segments) is not present on Ahead of Their Time.
		This is a Dutch and German double issue of the Burnt Weeny Sandwich and Weasels Ripped My Flesh albums, housed in a fold-out cover (by a "Patrick von Spreckelsen") depicting a pistol shooting toothpaste.
		Weasels Ripped My Flesh is still my favorite title for a Zappa album and has the BEST album cover art (in my opinion).

		The album kept finding its way into my CD player though, and it wasn't long until I was really enjoying it.
		I credit this as being one of the albums that really helped open my ears to what music can be, beyond the usual top 40 fare.

		"Weasels" is a sampler of performances by the original Mothers Of Invention in the late 1960's, live and studio.
		Weasels is definitely worth picking up for any fan but probably not the place for someone to loose their Zappa cherry.

		Some hapless goons stumble into the nest of a mad doctor/scientist/whatever, and one is subjected to weasel blood infusion, I guess, after which he becomes a ramping were-weasel.
		I guess some of this was worth a laugh, but the sound quality is horrible and the music cuts in and out, and overall if they were going to put this on a DVD they should have at least cleaned some of it up.
