  Webbers Falls Receives Funds to Enlarge Water System
The Town of Webbers Falls will spend $390,000 to extend water service to approximately 115 residents in 50 homes south of Interstate 40 that do not have a dependable supply of potable water, records reflect.
Blueprints indicate the project southwest of Webbers Falls will include installation of more than 11 miles of 4-inch-diameter PVC plastic waterline and 400 linear feet of 10-inch-diameter water main, along with two manholes.
Horne, who also is the chairperson of Webbers Falls' East Central Oklahoma Water Authority, said residents must haul water in one other area of southeastern Muskogee County.

Thanks to the efforts of area firefighters, the home of a Webbers Falls man narrowly escaped a grass fire that burned 350 acres of land four miles south of Webbers Falls Thursday.
Tracy said the state forestry department was also on the scene and had an airplane in the sky, and Muskogee County assisted with a road grader.
Tracy said between 10 and 12 cars that were in storage on the property were lost, along with a storage trailer.
