 Jason Webley Biography
Best known for his solo performances, Webley appears like a back alley prophet in layers of baggy clothes, a trench coat and an old porkpie hat; he leaps onto stages, window ledges and bartops, feverishly pumping the bellows and stomping out the beat while roaring and whispering in his passionate, gravelly baritone.
In one moment, spellbound by Webley’s lyrical verse and mysterious air, the audience will be so quiet you can hear a feather fall; in the next, the entire room will erupt into a giant tickle fight or a goofy gnome dance.
At the first death his fans were led into the woods where Webley was stripped, shaved, placed in a coffin and driven away, not to be heard from for six months.

Classic Test: Webley-Fosberry By Garry James
This superficial resemblance, along with the adoption of the famed Webley "stirrup latch," would be just about the only thing that Fosbery's pistol would have in common with its more prosaic cousin.
It was found that the exposure of the cylinder grooves to dirt could cause the mechanism to shut down; consequently it was never really considered for general military issue (though apparently some were given to the Royal Naval Air Service during World War I, and some officers opted to carry them unofficially).
This gripe was countered by the observation that the gun was actually an automatic pistol, not a DA revolver and that this clearing problem was endemic to all autos.

 Webley Mark VI Revolver
Many firearm experts have called the Webley Mark VI “the finest military revolver ever designed,” and there is much merit in that statement.

The Mark VI became a staple during World War I, and, while earlier Webleys were still seen in the trenches, it became the pre-eminent sidearm of the British soldier in that conflict.

In their London Games Summit talk earlier this month, Lionhead's Peter Molyneux and Mark Webley talked about the history of the noted UK independent developer (Black and White, Fable), from its founding in June 1997 though its acquisition by Microsoft earlier this year.
Webley explained that Lionhead was set up in 1997, significantly after Molyneux's last company, Bullfrog, had been bought by EA, with a credo: "If we kept it small, we could keep that tribe feeling." The passion articulated by Molyneux behind Lionhead's founding was, simply enough, "to do something different."
