Webster County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri.
The county was organized in 1855 and named for Senator and Secretary of State Daniel Webster.
In the county the population was spread out with 28.90% under the age of 18, 8.30% from 18 to 24, 29.70% from 25 to 44, 21.70% from 45 to 64, and 11.40% who were 65 years of age or older.

There were neither saloon, church, nor school there when the first county court assembled, and later, when the circuit court was held, the Grand Jury held their deliberations in the brush in charge of the sheriff.
This is the oldest place in the county, having been settled in 1830, although it was not organized until 1856.
