Weezing's Attack is good but not stellar, and most Psychic types are faster than him while sporting a mind-blowingly high Special Attack (in comparison, Weezing's Special Defense is pretty darn pathetic).
Type matching aside, since Weezing's Attack and Special Attack are nearly equal it's nice to have both physical and elemental attacks onboard to supplement his versatility...another nod to Ground types there, as their nigh-impenetrable physical Defense is known the world over.
Weezing's HP is fairly average, yet I suppose Leftovers is as good as anything on him since he doesn't have any stat-altering or recovery moves.
