	Doman, Everett - Biography
		EVERETT R. Everett was born on July 27, 1912, in Welling, Alberta, Canada, where his father was a farmer.
		During Everett's tenure with the Forest Service, he saw it change from a primarily timber and range management agency to a true multiple-use agency with recognition given to the size and importance of the Forest Service's Wildlife and Fisheries habitat management jobs.
		Everett was elected to membership in the Washington Biologists’ Field Club in 1971.

	Alexander's Gas & Oil Connections - The Athabasca oil sands story
		The first attempt to exploit the oil sands came nearly a century ago, when oilmen tried drilling conventional wells in the area, convinced that the bitumen on the surface must be welling up from gigantic pools of crude deep in the Earth.
		The smallest of Alberta's oil sands areas at 8,000 sq km, its deep deposits are also being recovered with in-situ methods.
		Some ofthe oil sands near Fort McMurray are close to the surface and can be mined, but less than 20 % of the total area can be developed this way.
