All About Beer Feature: Beer in Wales
Welsh beer remains to this day low gravity and sweetish, able to be consumed by the pint to quench a day-long thirst.
Welsh breweries and pubs are caught between producing traditional ales for working men in neighborhood and village pubs, and younger generations that seem inclined to abandon old styles in favor of lager and alcopops served in city-center theme bars.
The conversation turned to the growth of nitrogen-dispensed beers, the “nitro-kegs.” The use of nitrogen rather than carbon dioxide to dispense and extend the life of beer was pioneered by Guinness and recently extended by Caffrey’s.

Welsh rabbit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welsh rabbit – or rarebit – is a traditional British snack dish, also known as toasted cheese.
Traditional rarebit is made by grating cheese and blending it with beer or a little milk and butter, adding seasoning (particularly mustard), and spreading the mixture onto hot toast; the whole is then heated briskly from above (a procedure known as grilling in British English, broiling in North America).
Vivid nightmares are famously attributed to overindulgence in Welsh rarebit.

Beer at the local off-licence is 197p a liter, petrol is 90p a liter at the garage, knock off the tax (-30pct for beer -86pct for petrol) and you get to about 140p for beer and 13p for petrol.
Beer is welsh tap water mixed with mold, treacle and sugar and sold as stella; petrol is hunted for, drilled for, pumped out of the ground, shipped in supertankers, and then refined.
Beer however needs to be brewed from a variety of ingredients which not only require labor to produce, but also further processing before they are usable.
