Within the circular Conference centre, the Grand Hall is an extremely well-appointed all-seat auditorium with a capacity of 2,650.
The technical team at Wembley, led by Steve Lee, had been pressing for a new sound system since 1992, and, when the go-ahead was given in the autumn of last year, they prepared a fair and very flexible brief, assisted by acoustical consultants Travers Morgan.

Administrators of a high-profile London conference centre have been attacked for allowing a cult organisation to use it for the purposes of a recruitment rally.
A pressure group called Triumphing Over London Cults is furious that the Wembley Conference Centre is to be used by the London Church of Christ, a group of evangelists which has been accused of authoritarian behaviour and brainwashing.
Mike Potter, the general manager of the Wembley Complex, which includes the conference centre, said the venue was bound by a contract with the church over Sunday's event which could not be broken.

Like other UK shows Cage Rage suffered from a series of unfortunate events in the lead up to this show, and one can imagine that Cage Rage HQ in South London was not a happy place as several other last minute changes occurred which included the withdrawal of Lee Murray through injury.
Joking aside I was worried for the show and with Wembley Conference Centre looking half-full at 6 pm when the show began to start, the signs were ominous.
However this is not a gripe shared by everybody and with their next event due on September 3rd, the future looks bright for this South London collective as they bring some top MMA action to these shores.
