The whole area of the map (Beleriand) is west of the Ered Luin.
It is located north and west of the Shire and Tower Hills and north of the Gray Havens; the Blue Mountains (Ered Luin) on the maps of Middle Earth are the same range (though altered, for reasons evident later in the Sim) as the one in the east of the map of Beleriand.

I know that Beleriand was located west of Eriador and that the Blue Mountains (Ered Luin) that are shown in the maps of the Silmarillion at the East are the same that appear at the northwest of the LOTR maps.
Beleriand was west of the Ered Luin pretty much adjacent to the lands of Eriador.
Tolkien describes a square in the northwestern corner of Mordor, formed on the west and north sides by the Ephel Duath and the Ered Lithui, respectively, and on the southern and eastern sides by spurs that stretch out east from the Ephel Duath and south from the Ered Lithui.

Two other armies had attacked Beleriand, and these one was destroyed by the Sindar of Doriath and Ossiriand while the other had driven Cirdan back to his two cities, Brithombar and Eglarest.
In time the rift between the two groups was partially healed, and the Feanorians migrated to east Beleriand where they established the March of Maedhros, a large and powerful kingdom though its population would have consisted mostly of Sindar who accepted Maedhros as their lord.
Finrod eventually extended his kingdom south to include much of west Beleriand, and his kingdom became the largest in all Beleriand.
