	AP tobacco farmers move court
		The tobacco farmers of West Godavari district have challenged the crop holiday imposed by the board for the year 2000-2001 in Andhra Pradesh and filed a writ petition in the High Court.
		Tobacco is grown in West Godavari district in the northern light soils (NLS) at Jangareddigudem, Devarapalli and Koyyalagudem and it is said that in quality the NLS tobacco compares favourably with the crop grown in the light soils of Karnataka.
