West Marlborough Township is a township located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
In the township the population is spread out with 24.0% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 31.0% from 25 to 44, 28.1% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who are 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the township is $52,283, and the median income for a family is $56,875.

West Marlborough became a distinct municipality from East Marlborough on May 27, 1729, when a number of local citizens asked the court in Chester for a partition.
South of West Marlborough Township was a tract that became London Grove Township.
Marlborough street was such a useful improvement that plans developed to extend it along the London Tract northern boundary.

West Marlborough Township supervisors recently signed a resolution which, in effect, puts the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Chester County Commissioners, the Chester County Planning Commission on notice of its position on PennDOT's plans to eventually expand Route 41 and remodel and enlarge the routes 1 and 41 interchange.
Township supervisor Hugh Lofting said the supervisors acted in part to protect the township's interests and in part to press the county to enforce the guidelines it set in its Landscapes program.
West Marlborough supervisors also believe other more suitable roadways are available to meet the needs of through trucks.

Its charter included the towns of Kingston, Hurley, Marbletown, Foxhall, New Paltz, "and all villages, neighborhoods, and Christian habitations on the west side of the Hudson’s River." The Catskill Mountains occupy the north-west part of Ulster County and the Shawangunk Mountains extend north-east from the south-west corner of the county.
Rochester Township is located near the geographic center of Ulster County, New York, an area loosely defined as the mid-Hudson valley.
The issuing of a township patent and name was perhaps viewed as a matter of governing convenience, since both Marbletown and Rochester were well inhabited upon their establishment as townships.
