The median income for a household in the town was $40,625, and the median income for a family was $48,750.

Wisconsin Avenue is presently the route of Highway 16 and has four lanes with no shoulders between Main St and Islandale Dr, so the route follows W. South St for most of this section.

From 1970 to the present, owing to the county’s increased accessibility, and thanks to the recreational lakes and subdivisions built in the Town of Rome, Adams County witnessed its greatest expansion, second fastest in the state, and population increase since it was first settled.
After the glaciers retreated from central Wisconsin and the gigantic but shallow prehistoric lake covering most of Adams County drained through a break in its icy impondment, the soils remaining were quite different from those in glaciated areas of the state.

One of the earliest monuments to soldiers of the Civil War stands at the junction of County Trunks E and FF in the Township of Rhine, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.
The 26th Wisconsin is the only one to have two 18 inch square blocks, one on each side of the monument, indicating the right and left flank.

Public access is available on the south end of the lake at Town and Riverside parks.
