West Point is a town located in King William County, Virginia.
The York River is formed at West Point by the confluence of the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers.
In 1691, the Virginia General Assembly directed that West Point be created a port of entry and in 1705 the burgesses authorized the town to qualify as a 'free borough' and named it Delaware, for Governor Thomas West, third Lord Delaware.

Point Pleasant is a city located in Mason County, West Virginia, at the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers.
Point Pleasant is most famous for a series of local legends centered on the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge, which killed 46 people.
According to these legends, a moth-like humanoid was seen by several Point Pleasant residents in the weeks leading up to the disaster.
