Scotland normally play their home matches at Hampden Park (capacity 52,000) in Glasgow.
Scotland are one of the few UEFA members who play most of their matches in a city (Glasgow) other than the capital (Edinburgh).
Scotland recently played the Faroe Islands in their first Euro 2008 qualifier at Celtic Park, due to Hampden being hired out for a Robbie Williams concert on that date.

The core of the club was founded from the Birmingham City Police team whose competitive history began in the Wednesday League in 1928.
West Midlands Police were consistently one of the top teams in the Combination and finished third on four occasions and runners-up in 1993/94, which was their final season in the Combination before becoming founder members of the Midland Football Alliance.
It is hoped that in time the club will be able to attract the players available from the Police who currently play elsewhere and one day the team will be able to compete at a higher level.

When Queens Park moved to the third (and current) Hampden Park, the old ground was renamed to Cathkin Park and sold to Third Lanark F.C. The third Hampden is the most famous of the grounds used, and is known throughout the world.
Whilst Queens Park F.C. had used previous playing fields, it was in 1903 that the club decided to purchase land in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow's south side.

Comprised of players from Dumfries, Langholm and St Michael’s Cricket Clubs, the Dumfries and Galloway outfit ended a creditable second to a strong Glasgow squad, having beaten both Lanarkshire and Ayrshire and recording a draw in the rain-affected fixture against Clyde.
The Wednesday brought another away fixture at West of Scotland CC, when Dumfries and Galloway’s bowling soon came under pressure from a strong Glasgow middle order.
Many thanks are due to all those who assisted in arranging the tournament, to the parents who assisted with travel to away fixtures, as well as to Ewan Sutton who umpired for the home fixtures and Caroline Davidson who did most of the scoring.
