The Westchester Comets entered the season ranked number one in the country by USA Today, and the team still remains the top team in the Southland according to the Los Angeles Times, but all the Comets focus on is winning, Johnson said.
Westchester was kept from the playoffs last season after the City Section of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) ruled that Johnson was improperly recruited from his former high school, Verbum Dei, in his junior year.

A motivated student will do fine at Westchester, as will one who's parents are on top of their childs schoolwork, however, less motivated and directed kids can easily slip thorough the cracks.
I previously attended a school with an API score of a 10 and now I at Westchester which is faced with the possibility of being taken over by the state next year for having such a low API score.
Westchester is one of the few public schools where parents are actually involved.
