Clean Up New Zealand week is part of the Clean Up the World campaign – the largest community based initiative of its type globally and part of the United Nations Environmental Programme.
In commenting on a number of activities that took place during the week Ted highlighted the work of Te Puke campaign coordinator Alan Cotter who rallied 21 groups and many individuals together to collect a total of 127 bags of rubbish from the Te Puke township and 328 bags from surrounding rural areas.
