  Texas A&M History Prof Wins Award From Western History Association   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-31)
The award is for the best article, essay or commentary on state, provincial or territorial history in North America appearing in a periodical publication.
It will be presented at the Western History Association's annual meeting to be held in San Diego next month.
He worked with the late Robert Calvert on two Texas history manuscripts and is the author or co-author of four books focusing on some aspect of Texas history.

She was named president of the 1,700-member WHA on Oct. 9 at the annual meeting in Portland, Ore.
