Southwestern Ontario is a region of the Canadian province of Ontario, centred on the city of London.
Western Ontario was so called because until Ontario expanded in 1912 to incorporate Northern Ontario it was the westernmost part of the most populated section of the province.
Southwestern Ontario is a prosperous agricultural region whose chief crops are tobacco, sweetcorn, soybean, winter wheat and tomatoes.

I picked 1964 because it was after the demise of the O&W (Ontario & Western) and the Erie-Lackawanna merger but before Penn Central and Conrail.
Most that is written of the Ontario & Western relates to the Catskills, but the road went as far as Oswego, NY.
