  Western Wedding Tradtions
Western marriage traditions share a lot in common with wedding traditions from almost anywhere in the world.
The location of your Western marriage should, if possible, be outside under the wide open sky, or in a barn or other large building with a barn motif.
As the bride and groom share their first kiss it is often traditional for many of the guests to whoop and shout cowboy fashion to wish the happy couple well.

For a metric space the notion of countable compactness is the same as that of compactness.
Compact spaces are initially compact from any (infinite) cardinality and are at the same time finally compact starting from any cardinality.
Compact in Russian literature is countably compact in Western literature, and bicompact equates with compact Hausdorff in the West.

Western thought, with its promise of a mastery of the complete picture, is confronted by the incompleteness of the ‘spilled, the broken world.’
It is in this western binary that those in central power (of a particular race, class, gender, ethnicity, etc.) attempt to create, (mis)represent, and control other/s (those different from the center) for their own intentions.
As a result of such political and economic definitions by western Euro-American countries, the east/west separation was not a specific geographical term but related to the division between capitalist, democratic countries and countries practicing forms of socialism and communism: by western terms, the good versus the bad.

Metafuture.org: Futures studies by Ivana Milojevic, Sohail Inayatullah and other leading futurists
While we find within Western discourse an emergent acceptance of this concept, when placed within the larger domain of transcultural approaches to communication, we find that Western conceptions of silence carry rather a rationalist inflection, reflecting, arguably, their origins within the dominant approach to knowing.
The example of Buddha remaining silent when questioned by his disciples regarding the existence of God, suggests that the communicative space occupied by the disciples (which privileged the verbal) was very different from the space in which Buddha was situated (which denied the verbal).
Many other spaces need to be negotiated to include such communities as the elders of all cultures, children, youth, the marginalised and incarcerated, those with disabilities and women.

 Conclusion
Though I acknowledge the ways that Western thought has manipulated, transformed and modified any differences that challenge the roots on which it is founded, I cannot accept that recontextualization has stripped Aboriginal culture and their paintings of the power and knowledge inscribed within.
As I said in the beginning, to judge this situation as a case of either/or (either beneficial or detrimental) to Aboriginal culture, is in one sense, to ignore the pervasive hegemony of the West, or on the other side, to deny the power of being marginal, of being Aboriginal.
Even though in order to enter Western discourse the materials have been altered, and the meaning has been made relative to Western ways of knowing, the paintings will never be wholly known, never wholly dominated by the West.

 WGA Open Lands Conference Summary
She observed that the sea-change in Arizonans attitudes towards open space is reflected in a growing debate about urban growth boundaries, a state constitutional amendment to further protect trust lands, and a state mandate for local land use planning.
She said recent years have seen relatively heavy use of open space, parks and recreation bonds, with an average issue size nationally of $12.6 million and a range of less than $1 million up to $300 million.
Sweeney said that interest in open space bonds is being driven by rising consumer demand for and spending on recreation and travel, increased public awareness of quality of life issues, and a strong overall economy.

 Western Spaces (by Johnny Black)
Given electronic music's rapid development in recent years, that's an indication of how far they were ahead of the mainstream.
This was the first album in perhaps a decade to turn away from the long-established synthesizer conventions (space, mental travelling, fantasy, legend) and look for inspiration, as Brian Eno once did, to the land.
As a result, Roach and Braheney were obliged to find new tonal colours and slowly unfolding rhythmic patterns which would reflect the desert's subtle interplay of heat and light, and the disturbing sense of distance in a landscape which seems unchanging but which is, in fact, always moving, eroding and renewing itself.

Combining Roach's ambiance with Braheny's lyrical passages on electronic woodwinds, Western Spaces was the first of two collaborations based on the landscapes of the American Southwest--in particular the Mojave and Sonoran deserts.
The original release of 'Western Spaces' in 1987 included works by Richard Burmer; these are deleted in the 1990 Fortuna version.
This is truly too bad, because one of those pieces is "Across the View," Burmer's signature work and one of the few ambient compositions yet produced that justly deserves the tag "masterpiece." Even without it, however, this one is well worth the listen.
