Interior and Local Government Secretary Angelo T. Reyes said the province was transferred to Western Visayas after President Arroyo issued Executive Order 429 reorganizing the region to include the province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City.
Soliman said Rodolfo Feraren, director of the department in Southern Tagalog, and Evelyn Trompeta, director of Western Visayas, are preparing plans for the province’s and the city’s administrative transfer.
