Westminster Chapel was born in the hearts of approximately thirteen families, who desiring a strong Biblically based fellowship, formed a prayer group in the fall of 1963.
At the prompting of the Holy Spirit, the Reverend W.J. Antisdale of Oakland, California was interviewed in January, 1964 and immediately invited, with his wife Bess, to pastor the new fellowship.
He also was very conscious that Westminster is a part of the larger body of Christ and, thus, conveyed a love for other churches and pastors.
