The Wexford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Irish: Cummann Luthchleas Gael Coiste Loch Garman) or Wexford GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic Games in County Wexford.
Wexford had one of the greatest football teams in the history of the GAA during the 1910's with them winning six Leinster and four All-Irelands in a row.
Wexford had a great team during the 1990's and their hard work was rewarded in 1996 when Wexford, led by Liam Griffin and captained by Martin Storey, brought the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Slaneyside for the first time since 1968, they were waiting 28 years.

Laois GAA is in mourning this week following the death of Sean 'Goggie' Delaney on Monday night in Portlaoise General Hospital at the age of 55.
Goggie's father Morgan was on the Laois team that won the Leinster title in 1946, while his son Damien was on the team that bridged a 57 year gap last year by beating Kildare in the final on a 2-13 to 1-13 scoreline.
Laois were leading by four points as the 70th minute approached but Wexford clawed back with a goal and a point in the injury time that ensued and both sides finished level sharing the points at 2-18 apiece.

Wexford are without doubt great Hurling and up and coming football teams but Sundays performance – being against stiff competition drove the nails into the 2006 coffin.
Investigators will also be visiting Wexford in the coming weeks to talk to local people who gave evidence to the official inquiry at the time.
