FLYING INKPOT THEATRE REVIEW: It Takes Two by Dream Academy
Their cheeky rendition of this song was just one of the many delightful segments of the musical stand-up comedy show, It Takes Two, which was shown at Victoria Theatre.
And song and dance also helped keep the interest levels high: Leong's talent as a pianist coupled with Tan's clear and melodious voice both enchanted and impressed the audience.
The second part saw solo performances by the two actors, and finally the duo was reunited on stage to deliver a fine ending.

 Issue of July 21, 2004
The phrase "It takes two to tango" appeared in popular usage in 1952, shortly after the song "Takes Two to Tango," written by Al Hoffman and Dick Manning, and sung by Pearl Bailey, became a hit.
That is, some people define the phrase as signifying that it takes two people to successfully undertake some specific task, while others say that it means it takes two people to maintain a fight or disagreement (that is, it takes one person to start a fight, but the other could walk away).
Two to tango, two to tango"), but "two to tango" was almost immediately drafted to describe any situation, from international negotiations to bar fights, that required, by definition, two participants.

Okay, I will admit that LTAL does not have the most interesting songs on it but there are a few that stand out to me. "Immortality" is a well-written, thought-provoking song because it deals with two very sensitive issues; I like to think of this song as a double-sided one.
I know that the song is incredibly simple and back-to-forth between Luciano Pavarotti and Celine, but there's an age-old message contained in the lyrics, namely that in the title of the song.
