CANOE -- JAM! Movies - What The Bleep Do We Know Review - (Bleeping) truth is in there
What The (Bleep) Do We Know is a mixture of talking heads, animation and storytelling, a documentary/fairy tale combo the uses one person's life and disappointments to illustrate the science of possibility.
What The (Bleep) Do We Know is a film that connects the mind, the body, the emotions and the spirit, but it's not some airy-fairy undertaking or cultish outing.
What The (Bleep) Do We Know is not afraid of the "Who are we?" "Why are we here?" questions of the universe; "We still have this ugly, backwater, superstitious idea of God," one participant begins, and you can only hope someone will take Mel Gibson to see this movie.

If you were to address most of us for two hours on a subject we know -- say, Alfred Hitchcock or family members -- we'd absorb a fairly high ratio of the new information because we have a fund of facts and impressions to which we can attach it.

I assume this is an effort to get us to judge the ideas on their own merit rather than being impressed by the credentials of the speakers.
I liked a lot of the speakers' insights about the workings of the brain and how habitual patterns of thinking can cause it to almost hardwire itself into a specific way of viewing the world which in most, if not all, cases is way off the mark.
For my nine bucks, the real point of What The Bleep (thought the movie itself doesn't seem to know this) is when they speculate that the discoveries of quantum physics could lead humanity to a new kind of morality, the understanding that we ourselves are ultimately responsible for the world we live in.

MMI Movie Review: What the Bleep Do We Know!
U.S.A. The docudrama "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" stars Marlee Matlin as a photographer, Amanda, who is going through a life crisis due, in part, to her penchant for repeating behaviors and relationships that have not worked in the past.
One of the problems with "What The Bleep" is that it has enough credible science, with professionals such as physicist Dr. Fred Wolf and theologian Dr. Miceal Ledwith, that it’s easy to get sucked into the film.
The film is annoying, starting with the title, "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" In the beginning, the narrator states that throughout history people have operated according to the prevailing theories of their time and that later the theories are proven wrong.
