		Wide Awake Club (often abbreviated to WAC) was a highly successful children's television series broadcast in the United Kingdom on ITV's breakfast franchise TV-am between 1984 and 1989.
		However, in 1990 it was relauched as WAC '90, a longer programme broadcast from Granada's studios in Manchester (as opposed to TV-am's in London).
		However, that was not the end of the Wide Awake Club franchise as Wacaday continued until 1992.

	Timmy Mallett - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		In 1984 he became a presenter of Wide Awake Club, a new Saturday morning children's programme on ITV's breakfast station, TV-am.
		Mallett's personality came to dominate the show to such an extent that when TV-am found itself lacking a school holidays programme after the sale of Roland Rat to the BBC, he was offered the chance to present the replacement solo.
		The replacement, a spin-off of Wide Awake Club, was called Wacaday (based on the addition of 'aday' to the initials 'WAC' for Wide Awake Club) and began broadcasting in 1985.
