 Wiki Pedia
There is a legitimate worry that the wikipedia has taken more than one step down the path of an official POV, and has left objective reality out of the debate between the groupthink of the administrators, and the "fringe" views expressed by some newbies.
WikiPedia has now been quoted as a source in a major newspaper (is this the first instance?):
This wiki is a history of computing which includes developing ideas, processes and procedures, while WikiPedia is a record of what has already been and does not have the same sense of evolution.

The process itself is open, but the identities of the administrators are usually cloaked behind a username and a Gmail address.
And finally, I believe that articles on living persons should be generated in such a way that the person is notified, if at all possible, that the article is under development, and has the right to demand minimal standards of evidence to back up assertions made in the article.
If the title or snippet in a link itself contributes to this impression, then the full text is not researched by anyone.

Wikipedia reinvents information searching - Sci-Tech
In the run up to the 2004 presidential election, the George W. Bush article was being edited with such ferocity and from so many bias angles that administrators were forced to lock the record.
And by users, I mean you, me, or anyone else in the world who wishes to contribute their wealth of knowledge to the project.
Someone may post inaccurate or biased information relating to a specific topic, but Wiki's growing base of over 10,000 free public contributors are always reading an revising, and ensuring that the site's content is as honest and true as possible.

A Criticism of the Wikipedia: with Mark Pellegrini and Philip Sandifer
Such problems not only result in poorly written articles, which are limited by the incompetence of the highest-ranking administrators; but, this arrangement also inevitably results in censorship, particularly in articles of interest to the site’s ranking members (as discussed in the next two paragraphs).
Articles with a single picture are encouraged to have that picture at the top of the article, right-aligned.
Your article editing is very, very little compared to the enormous amount of "contributions" (to use the term loosely) to arbitration and policy issues.

A Criticism of the Wikipedia: with Mark Pellegrini and Phil Sandifer
Several administrators attempted to obscure the issue, by acting as if their opposition to the poll was based purely on technical and semantic grounds (they thus tried to pretend that while they oppose the poll itself, they still oppose all forms of tyranny...
Finally, a further compromise was reached,  in which the picture was placed twice (at top and bottom) – such an arrangement was not intended as a permanent solution, but the idea was that people could stop fighting over it, and take some time to discuss their viewpoints.
Now, on most websites this is not an issue; afterall, I am a tyrant here at kapitalism.net; but, and this is an important point, kapitalism.net is not pretending to be some new-age website of ‘freedom, learning, consensus, and discussion’.

 The Wikipedia Hive Mind
What I do know is that the editors and administrators feel that they are untouchable, and the Wikimedia Foundation also feels that it is untouchable because it has a disclaimer.
The first is that anyone can edit an article, and there is no guarantee that any article you read has not been edited maliciously, and remains uncorrected in that state, at the precise time that you access that article.
At the moment, this is an intellectual interest of mine, and I am not currently claiming that I have been libeled.
