In a couple of weeks names for one to house a large file collection and another to speed up searching will be needed, so names known for breadth of collection or speed of search will be particularly interesting for them.
The desire to preserve as much privacy as possible for the community as a whole is the driving force behind this limited access.
In tougher cases it's possible to ask members of the technical team to identify links between accounts, using assorted technical means which are restricted to only those whose technical roles already give them access to the tools required to do this.

Even simpler is to look at an article that you like and open it for editing to see how the writers and editors have put it together.

Hi, I'm from the french wikipedia and I work a little bit to class some species, one of my principal sources is wikispecies.
If I were in Ecuador as er your example, I'd be searching in a Quechua Wiki to find out what the speces being talked about is, then use that to find the data in Wikispecies and create the appropriate interwiki link back to the Quechua 'pedia.
We are currently still evaluating how to proceed with the project in terms of creating templates to structure our content, but already have a considerable collection of taxonomic names, literature references and links to encyclopaedic articles (at wikipedias in different languages).

There are about 80 hits searching wikipedia for "1503" and there are 19 items (8/5/6 events/births/deaths).
Part of what makes wikipedia so fantastic is ability to explore, to make connections.
This is after some work on my part to pull into the 1503 page events that I felt should be there, and linking references to 1503 that I found relevant.

Algorithms to fuzzy-match DNA sequences will be found under "fuzzy string searching" in -TBO; path-planning algorithms will be found under -TBL; and compound-interest formulas will be found under -TBG.
Notice that I didn't try to cover "medical algorithms" or "avionics algorithms" or "banking algorithms," since as far as I'm concerned those labels are meaningless.
I, personally, would like to have a repository for the GNU sources (and others) as user-friendly as Wikisource, but I'm not sure the copyright mess would allow many existing tools to be added verbatim; someone would have to reimplement each GNU tool under the GFDL.

I was searching for Polybius a Greek historian (and apparently he was also a cryptographer) and noticed on wikipedia that there was an alternate entry that said "for the video game of urban legend." The article seemed worthy of a break, so I clicked the link.
"Men in Black" going to collect information from some crazy video game that can cause amnesia is a pretty tall tale, however I can see how the early 80's and late 90's video game youth culture explosion could have triggered some parents and even kids to wonder about "these machines" and "their true origins."
Overall I think it is interesting that such an odd story has lasted this long (the story is circa 1980's).
