| | You seem to be confusing "having a WikiProject" with some kind of vote by the community that a project is a Good Thing, and that suggestions to not create such a project is a attack on the ideas of the person who wanted to do so. |
| | I'd add that WikiProjects have been userfied since falling inactive, and it's entirely possible that an inactive project may just as easily put people off starting one as encourage them to reactivate, as they may believe there is no interest in the subject. |
