William James Anderson was born in 1974 and he grew up in Heyfield, a small town in Victoria.
There are rumours of Wil being offered his own show, but he seems reluctant to go in that direction, preferring to stick with his stand up.
In 1998, Wil began work on Triple J's Breakfast Show with Adam Spencer, each Wednesday morning between 7 and 7.30am.

Wil Anderson might have finished on breakfast radio, but he's still at work by seven to work on his new show, although he says: 'If I didn't have stuff to do, I wouldn't get up at six to go for a walk.'
Anderson is currently hard at work putting the finishing touches to material for his 2006 tour, but before unleashing it to the wider Australian audience he's heading back to Canberra for five nights in February to give it a test drive.
The week in Canberra will be a week of work Anderson says, and there is likely to be quite a difference between his first and fifth nights as he finetunes the jokes, but he says he hopes to relive some of his uni days.

LOOKS like Wil Anderson really did bite off more than he could chew during his Melbourne Comedy Festival performance.
An irritated Noll threw down the gauntlet to Anderson on Sydney radio this week, challenging him to shut his yap, slap on the gloves and go the biff for charity.
Anderson responded to Noll’s request with mincing faux-charm: “I am not going to box Shannon, mainly because I am a coward who cried at the end of Miss Congeniality and he will completely beat the crap out of me,” he said in a press release, where he offered to donate $2000 to cancer charity Canteen.
