		Wild Orchid (1991-2004) was an American band, featuring Stacy Ann Ferguson (later of the Black Eyed Peas), Stefanie Ridel and Renee Ilene Sandstrom (2 of them transplanted from Kids Incorporated).
		Wild Orchid began while the girls were in their mid-teens; songwriter Bobby Sandstrom helped them write and record demos.
		Wild Orchid spent most of 1996-1997 promoting their debut album, making appearances on the Ricki Lake show, Access Hollywood, MTV, RuPaul show, Hard Copy, VIBE and Soul Train, as well as a guest appearance on the UPN sitcom Goode Behavior.

		Schizanthus or butterfly flower is also called poor mans orchid.The one in the photograph is not this.It is a wild flower which may explain why its not available commercially.Mine self seeded into about 8 plants so seeds should be plentiful in the fall.
