| | Wild Service Tree |
 | | It is often found as a hedgerow tree in south eastern England, most notably in Kent, and is a feature of the scrub woodlands that occur on the landslips along the northern edge of the Isle of Wight. |
 | | It is a common tree in the Dordogne of central France where it is found with Oaks, Quercus robur and Quercus pubescens, Juniper, Juniper communis, and Box, Buxus sempervirens, in woodland developing on the extensive abandoned limestone sheep pastures. |
 | | The wild service is rare in Wiltshire which is, I would have thought, another reason to protect any mature specimens especially as it was probably once reasonably widespread on heavier soils. |
