For intanse, I do not like the idea of a turbo diesel engine, i think instead they should put a v-8 gasoline powered engine, or hold off the progect and wait for a hybrid engine to be developed.
This engine may not have the highest horsepower, but torque is more vital when offroading.
I would like to see a gasoline engine choice, whether that is a supercharged 6 or a modular V8 doesn't matter as long as it's has excellent power or is easily to tweak and bolt on aftermarket mods.
