		For example, Wilhelm Kube, the Commissar General for White Ruthenia, equated Jews with partisans in the same report in which he proudly told his superiors about the murder of 55,000 Byelorussian Jews during a ten-week period in the spring and summer of 1942.
		The vast majority of such operations were l aunched to terrorize, plunder and decimate the local gentile population and, of course, to murder the remaining Jews.
