The success Vinton experienced with the longer narrative form encouraged him to believe a feature-length film was possible, but first he would need to consolidate the techniques his studio had pioneered.
Turning to Vinton to help launch their Blue MandM campaign, the studio's CGI depiction of a Red and Yellow MandM trying to come to terms with the new-found popularity of the Blue MandM generated the same sort of response achieved years earlier by the CLAYMATION Raisins.

 What Happened to Will Vinton?
The news that Will Vinton was fired from Will Vinton Studios, the Portland, Oregon company he founded in 1975, came as something of a shock.

Will Vinton acted as executive producer and co-wrote the script, and was deeply involved in the project.
