French Anderson (born 1936) is a U.S. geneticist and molecular biologist.
In 1990, he was the first person ever to succeed in gene therapy of a 4-year-old girl suffering from SCID (a form of an immuno-deficiency disorder called "bubble boy disease").
Anderson was jailed on July 30, 2004, on allegations of sexual abuse of a minor.

William de Blair received a charter of lands in 1205 near Irvine.
One possible explanation is that this original line of Blair heirs (of inheritance and title) ended in 1732 when William Blair died without heir.
