Sir William Randal Cremer[krE´mur] Pronunciation Key, 1828–1908, English pacifist.
In 1871 he became secretary of the Workmen's Peace Association, a position he held until his death.
For his efforts in the cause of international arbitration Cremer was awarded the 1903 Nobel Peace Prize.
