  Bob Hoskins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Robert William "Bob" Hoskins (born October 26, 1942) is a British actor best known for playing Cockney rough diamonds and gangsters, and for his appearance in family films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and Hook (1991).
Hoskins' performances in British films such as The Long Good Friday (1980) and Mona Lisa (1986) won him the approval of the critics and, in the case of the latter, an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Hoskins is known for his "cold bum test", which he uses whenever he receives a new script.

Hoskins, who was 76, and his wife, Louise, moved to Palm Harbor in 1974, settling on a house at the top of downtown's Florida Avenue.
Hoskins also taught adult art education classes at Pasco-Hernando Community College for several years in the early 1980s, and spent several summers as a demonstration sculptor at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village.

I too believe that possibly Willam Hoskins was also know as John, after briefly looking at the Winthrop Info on the Winthrop Society Web Page and comparing it to the info on the page I have.

William Hoskins Brown, 1910-1976, B.Arch., 1933, M.Arch., 1942, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was assistant professor in the Department of Architecture at MIT, 1941-1947, with a leave of absence to serve in the Navy, 1943-1946, and associate professor, 1947-1976.
His design projects included public housing for the elderly; several buildings for North Adams State College; and numerous projects for MIT including Westgate veterans housing and the conversion of the Sloan Building for the School of Industrial Management.
The collection includes assignment notes and sketches Brown prepared while a student in architecture at MIT; design problems and other teaching materials he created while a professor of architecure at MIT; and proposals, correspondence, notes, and blueprints for his architectural projects at MIT, including Westgate, the Sloan School, and the Burton-Conner dining room.
