William Grawn Milliken (born March 26, 1922), is an American politician and served as the Republican governor of Michigan from January 1969 to December 1982.
Milliken was born in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of James T. Milliken, a mayor of Traverse City and a Michigan State Senator for the 27th District, 1941-50, and the grandson of James W. Milliken, also a State Senator from the 27th District, 1898-1900.
In December 1982, Milliken appointed Dorothy Comstock Riley to the Michigan Supreme Court to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Blair Moody.

In an interview Wednesday, Milliken said he decided to make the public statement because of a spate of TV ads, campaign mailers and "push poll" telephone calls that have come in the waning days of the campaign.
Ballenger noted that those close to Milliken, including his wife and former first lady Helen Milliken, have periodically criticized the Michigan GOP in recent years and specifically the administration of Gov. John Engler.

He and Georgiannah held two burial plots there and it is believed my grandfather, William E. Morton (son of William V.R. Morton) is also buried there, but we have not been able to confirm this as the cemetery is so overgrown.
There are still several Milliken gr grandchildren and gr gr grandchildren of James Milliken in the Lincoln Co. area.
