Moriarty: The OJT program was designed to familiarize a limited number of Marines primarily from the 3rd Division on Okinawa as to what could be expected when combat units were deployed in country.
Moriarty: No. I had a general idea as to what I would be doing and what was expected of me. Also, the OJT with the 32nd Ranger Battalion in 1964 had been a very worthwhile experience.
