		Her Majesty has been pleased to approve the award of The Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry for the year 2004 to Mr.
		Hugo Williams was born in 1942, the son of actor-playwrights Hugh and Margaret Williams, and grew up in Sussex.
		Williams will be presented with the medal by The Queen at Buckingham Palace on 25 May 2004.
