William III of England - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
William, the son of William II, Prince of Orange and Mary, Princess Royal and Princess of Orange, was born in The Hague.
William was opposed to the imposition of such constraints, but he wisely chose not to engage in a conflict with Parliament and agreed to abide by the statute.
William lost Namur, a part of his Dutch territory, in 1692, and was disastrously beaten at the Battle of Landen in 1693.

William insisted that he should be sent to Rochester, and there allowed him to escape to France.
William's unpopularity with his new people was, on the whole, unjustified, but his memory is rightly darkened by the stain of the " Massacre of Glencoe." In 1692 he signed an order for the " extirpation " of the Macdonalds, a small clan in the vale of Glencoe.
This was the real aim of William in going to England in 1688, He had set off to secure an ally against Louis, and he came back from his expedition with a crown on his head and a new nation at his back, united in its detestation of popery and of France.

William I, king of England. The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. 2001-05
William is said to have visited England in 1051 or 1052, when his cousin Edward the Confessor probably promised that William would succeed him as king of England.
Although William immediately began to build and garrison castles around the country, he apparently hoped to maintain continuity of rule; many of the English nobility had fallen at Hastings, but most of those who survived were permitted to keep their lands for the time being.
William undertook church reform, appointed Lanfranc archbishop of Canterbury, substituted foreign prelates for many of the English bishops, took command over the administration of church affairs, and established (1076) separate ecclesiastical courts.

Power observes in his second application that some members of the militia company had grumbled because they had already served a tour and that it was too soon for them to be called for another tour.
This is probably William G. Hughbanks, born in 1813, and his wife: the census does not show the elder William Hughbanks with a wife in 1840, 1850, or 1860, and she probably died before 1840.

Even more significant is the even distribution of the power gain; increase in power started all the way from around 60kph speed in 3rd gear, which translates to roughly 3,000rpm engine revs, and is sustained with gradually increasing power gains right up to the 8200rpm red-line.
This kind of power gains is extremely feelable, the cummulative effects during full-throttle runs from low rpms will lead to a relatively larger gain when VTEC is activated and the red-line eventually reached.

Steve Coy has contributed this note to the discussion of powering a "lifter" to geosynchronous orbit.
Either way, we should be able to achieve close to diffraction limited spot size at the lifter receiver antenna, in which case an antenna of diameter 2*lambda*z/D should suffice to capture 90+% of the power.
PS: to achieve close to diffraction-limited performance at optical wavelengths, we'd need to use "adaptive optics", to compensate for the optical effects of atmospheric turbulence, but this is a relatively easy case for it, because we can set up a cooperative "beacon".

The interesting thing with elections, in terms of addressing the conspiracy kind of stuff, is that rival elites have in effect agreed not to get into all out violence and war with each other, although Americans elites did so only 144 years ago in the bloody Civil War.
