On that dark day, union men and union women spent their lives on the job, and they did it without a second thought or a hesitating step.
Union men and women earned the right to speak their minds after their fallen brothers and sisters were used by the Bush administration as props in a photo-op, and then were shamefully slapped across the face by that same administration.
Homeland Security on September 11 was union workers all, and those cops and fire fighters and EMTs have since had their funding eviscerated by an administration that took their pictures and then gave them the back of its hand.

Comments: William Day Smith served as principal of Scottsville School for 30 years (1907-1937).
His life seemed to revolve around young people and their education, though I must say that the way he taught was painless for the recipient.

William II of England - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
William Rufus inherited the Anglo-Norman settlement whose details are reflected in Domesday Book (1086), a survey that could not have been undertaken anywhere in Europe at that time and a signal of the control of the monarchy, but he did not inherit William's charisma and political skills.
William was able to claim the revenues of the archbishopric of Canterbury as long as Anselm remained in exile, and Anselm remained in exile until the reign of William's successor, Henry I.
William's body was abandoned by the nobles at the place where he fell, because the law and order of the kingdom died with the king, and they had to flee to their English or Norman estates to secure their interests.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Scholasticism
While they were still a source of danger, men like William of Auvergne and Alexander of Hales hesitated between the traditional Augustinianism of the Christian schools and the new Aristoteleanism, which came from a suspected source.
In this department of thought, as in many others, the Schoolmen did at least one service which posterity should appreciate: they strive to express in clear systematic form what was present in the consciousness of Christendom in their day.
Besides, Augustinianism and Platonism accorded with piety, while Aristoteleanism was found to lack the element of mysticism.
